Measuring Vibrations with Event Cameras

Abstract. This paper presents a study of the use of synchronous event cameras to measure mechanical vibrations. The proposed methodology is based on two-dimensional point tracking and triangulation and achieves a precision comparable to that obtained with an expensive laser Doppler vibrometer.
