Abstract. The increasing complexity of territorial and productive systems requires digital environments capable of connecting information across different spatial scales and operational stages. This paper proposes an integrated GIS–BIM framework for supporting the management and traceability of forest resources, from their place of origin to their storage and handling within a logistics facility. The approach was tested through the Pietrafitta Innovation Hub case study, where territorial data, building information and supply-chain processes were brought together within a shared digital ecosystem. The framework establishes a continuous relationship between georeferenced trees, forest management units, timber batches and warehouse spaces, enabling information to follow the resource throughout its transformation and movement. Interactive tools and dashboards support the consultation of tree histories, the monitoring of material flows and the assessment of storage conditions. The results show that GeoBIM integration can move beyond the simple visualisation of territorial and architectural models, becoming an operational instrument for coordinating data, processes and decision-making. The proposed approach is modular and adaptable to different contexts, providing a conceptual basis for the development of process-oriented digital twins and more transparent, efficient and sustainable resource management systems.
